There are three Brookfield Masterplan Teams working together to bring forward three separate planning applications for a new, comprehensively planned garden suburb with retail, civic, business and leisure centre for the area and homes for some 5,000 people.

Brookfield Riverside

Sovereign Centros will create a new town centre within the Borough of Broxbourne with daytime and evening activity. Our plans include:

  • New shops, cafes and restaurants, a hotel and leisure at the heart of the new town centre

  • 250 apartments and elderly persons’ accommodation

  • New offices and workspace

  • New civic hub

  • Enhanced highways and transport planning, with appropriate parking provision

  • Highly sustainable design and biodiversity net gain

  • Exceptional design and new public squares and spaces.

Brookfield Garden Village

Hertfordshire County Council and Borough of Broxbourne are proposing plans for a garden village to include local facilities and services. 

  • Up to 1,250 new homes, including up to 40% affordable housing, and elderly persons’ accommodation

  • A three-form entry primary school

  • Open green space for play and leisure

  • A new neighbourhood centre containing local shops and facilities

  • The relocation of the Halfhide Lane gypsy site and allotments, the recycling centre and Council depot

  • A blue light services hub.

Cheshunt Park Golf Course

Borough of Broxbourne is proposing changes to Cheshunt Park Golf Course to allow for a new road to Brookfield town centre.
